Tarpon Feeding

After a great day of fishing many of our anglers think their adventure is all but over once we hit the dock. Little do they know that a Grande Finale is waiting for them once we begin cleaning our catch.

The docks at Pete’s Pier Marina in Crystal River offer a unique experience for all of our anglers. For years, this marina has been home to dozens of hungry tarpon that gather along the docks waiting for anglers to clean their daily catch. Once the fish carcasses start hitting the water and the tarpon feeding frenzy ensues, brave anglers armed with nothing more than a piece of fish scrap have the opportunity to feed our aggressive yet tame resident tarpon. Along with tarpon, anglers will have the opportunity to see snook, jacks, catfish and some very feisty pelicans.

If your not fishing with us but looking for an awesome experience that’s FREE! swing by the marina between the hours of 3:00-5:00 p.m. when our guides are returning from their trips. The entire Reel Florida Fishing Charters crew is more than happy to share their fish scraps with visitors!!
